KIDS MUSICAL THEATRE HOLIDAY CLUB 2019

This year Chichester Musical projects is launching a kids holiday club in Chichester. We are looking for kids aged 7-11 to take part in this new experience of musical theatre. Does your child want to learn a full musical in a week with choreography, direction and music? They could have the opportunity to perform as a main part a chorus part or backstage with the final performance involving props, set and lights. It will also be accompanied by live music.

As part of the workshops there will be a range of singing, acting and dancing sessions run by experienced leaders along with some fun activities. We run during normal school hours from 8.30am to 3.30pm so great if you are a parent working throughout the summer period. There will also be LIVE MUSIC during the performances.

Fees will be £125 for the week including the cost of a T-shirt. We will also be offering optional packed lunches for the week at an additional cost of £20. We will offer a 10% discount for siblings and £40 off if you book for both weeks.

Musicals

The kids holiday club 2019 will be producing the following 2 musicals. Both productions will have props, Costume, set, lights and live music.

WEEK 1 (29th July – 2nd August) – WIND IN THE WILLOWS

Leaving not a dry eye in the house with the song ‘my home’, this heart-warming tale of friendship follows Mole, Rat, Badger and the infamous Mr Toad as they embark on an adventure after Toad’s need for speed gets him in some serious trouble. Based on the much loved classic by Kenneth Grahame, the wonderfully written script by Mike Smith takes the cast and audience on a journey to the riverbank where Toad must make a daring escape with help from his new friends in order to save his beloved Toad Hall.

WEEK 2 (19th – 23rd August) – ROBIN AND THE SHERWOOD HOODIES

When the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and his gormless guards threaten the villagers of Sherwood, feisty Maid Marion hires a band of freedom fighters for protection. But when Robin and his Merry Men arrive, she soon discovers they’re not exactly what she’d ordered! With no time to lose, she persuades these hapless heroes to take centre stage for the performance of their lives – if only they could stick to the script!

Follow the most outrageous outlaws in history on their side-splitting, action-packed adventure to defeat the dastardly Sheriff, storm Nottingham Castle, rescue Maid Marion and overthrow King John – all without laddering their tights!

This hysterical show is a riotous romp through the medieval mayhem of Merry England, splattered with shocks and surprises, crazy characters and comic capers. With a score full of catchy, show-stopping songs and a wonderfully witty script as sharp as an arrow, this musical comedy is on target to send you all a-quiver!
